Neelam Patel

Neelam has had a very broad career within her 19 years in the pharmaceutical industry starting in Pharmacovigilance at Glaxo, where she had a variety of roles from data management to implementation of the global safety database.  Neelam left GlaxoWellcome in 1997 to join Lilly where she led the Pharmacovigilance operations team that managed the safety systems and compliance for Europe and Asia Pacific.   In 2001, Neelam had an opportunity to join Human Resources as HR Manager for the European Commercial organisation where she spent 5 extremely valuable years.  After another HR assignment where she helped in the set up of the UK HR shared service and managed the newly created team for a year, she joined the UK Clinical Operations team at UK affiliate in Lilly.  Neelam now leads a strong clinical operations department that manages trials across all key therapeutic areas within the UK and Ireland.  Through her various roles, she has built a good grounding in the pharmaceutical business in global, regional and local affiliate environments.   She has an equally colourful life at home shared with a teenage daughter, nearly-teenage son and the youngest who is 2 and a half!
