Marketeer Europe is a competition to demonstrate excellence in the field of pharmaceutical marketing in Europe and to communicate it to the industry.
Winners receive €2000 plus the coveted Pharma Award.

The format is based on competitions running successfully over the last 15 years for Marketeers and Sales Professionals in the UK and Clinical Researchers in Europe and provides a platform for top European marketeers to showcase their talent on a bigger industry stage.
Entry to the competition will not result in any loss of focus on busy schedules but will deliver the maximum opportunity for you and your company to celebrate and promote success.
Ccompetition categories
1. Best National Brand Manager
Open to brand managers currently working in the European Economic Area or Switzerland, typically with two or more years’ experience.
2. Best Pan-European Brand Manager
Open to brand managers throughout the European Economic Area (including the UK) and Switzerland, who have pan-European responsibilities for at least one brand across at least three culturally and geographically different countries.
3. Best Pan-European Brand Team
A maximum of five people per team will participate in a pan-European marketing simulation likely to involve marketing, medical and regulatory skills.
Key Days and Deadlines
Stage One: Marketing Challenge Deadline Monday 13 October 2008
You are invited to give a short 400 word response to a marketing challenge created by the competition steering group. The scenarios relate to the category you are entering and reflect the current business environment. This year the Pan-European marketing challenge is around the implementation of a Pan-European marketing strategy and the National Brand manager challenge relates to the management of a products total life cycle with impending loss of brand protection.
Stage Two: The Finals 12 February 2009 – Berlin
The best National Brand Manager, Pan-European Managers and Pan-European Teams are invited to attend the finals on 12 February in Berlin. No preparation is required prior to the finals, minimising loss of focus on your main job.
Stage Three: The Pharma Awards Ceremony 12 February 2009 – Berlin
The winners are announced at a glittering awards ceremony at the InterContinental in Berlin on the evening of the 12 February. This is a ‘black tie’ gala, which is photographed and filmed, and your success is promoted to global pharmaceutical industry.
Stage Four: The Debrief and Feedback 13 February 2009 – Berlin
An opportunity for a feedback and mentoring is offered by the judges to all participants following the awards evening. |
