This innovative and ambitious research-based pharmaceutical group have built their success on diversity, reputation and sheer passion for what they do. They play a pioneering role in personalised healthcare and provide the first products that are tailored to the needs of specific patient groups within both pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. They have an enviably rich pipeline of products, so you will also have the flexibility to adapt as new products develop in the market place.

We are offering a challenging and rewarding role to help drive oncology sales with the world's leading supplier of oncology therapies. The role would be working solely within secondary care. This is a tremendous opportunity to accelerate your career within a supportive and rewarding culture.

On a daily basis you will be securing meetings and developing relationships with key NHS and private customers and key opinion leaders in your area including doctors, registrars, nurses, pharmacists, managers and other oncology unit staff. You will position and sell their product by providing them with detailed, useful, tailored information about its benefits based on your product knowledge, which you will develop and keep up to date.

You will be putting our client's marketing plan into practice in your area and will liaise with the marketing department and national sales manager on a regular basis to provide them with information, feedback, and market information. In turn, you will be armed with dynamic marketing materials and tools, including their innovative electronic platform for capturing and sharing customer data.

By analysing existing sales trends, the potential for growth and data on competitor products, you will also prepare and implement business plans. Through that you will contribute to the goals of the wider oncology franchise and UK pharmaceutical business which aims to ensure that every eligible patient is optimally treated with our client's products.

Working independently on a daily basis, you will be part of a strong oncology team. Your team partners will provide you with a stimulating mixture of support, growth, challenge and fun.

To be successful in this role, you will be someone who wants to influence your own development. You will be looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies, and where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point. To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate proven success in hospital sales. Ideally, you will have experience in oncology, and strong experience working with PCT's. A good knowledge of relevant cancer networks on the advertised geography would be useful.

You will be great at selling and presenting and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to succeed by delivering results from your relationships with your customers. Motivated, positive and tenacious, you will have a real drive to achieve. You will be confident working independently and have worked successfully in teams. Good planning and organisational skills will also enable you to succeed through managing your time most effectively to deliver your objectives.

In return for your contribution to our success, we offer a competitive salary and bonus scheme plus a range of other excellent benefits you would expect from a leading organisation.
