Are you looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding healthcare communications agency, based in Horsham, as a senior member of the Scientific Solutions team (the equivalent position being a Senior Medical Writer). The agency has clients across the globe and offices in the UK and US. This position offers the challenge of maintaining and developing existing accounts for new or existing clients. Your responsibilities will include researching and writing primary and secondary manuscripts, slide kits and a variety of other medical education projects and directing and managing junior members of the team, which includes reviewing their work and providing feedback in a mentoring capacity.

The successful candidate must have a science degree (preferably a PhD) and at least 4 years medical writing experience in the medical education/healthcare communications industry. You must demonstrate excellent and versatile medical writing skills, with a meticulous eye for detail, and an understanding of the different medical education initiatives that underpin the client’s strategic marketing activities. You must also demonstrate the ability to line-manage and mentor junior medical writers and to take the lead on delivering high quality materials on time and within budget. You will also have experience with new business generation (developing proposals, pitches etc.) and have excellent interpersonal skills.
