The UK-based Institute for Clinical Research (ICR) has been awarded Investors in People (IiP) status by an IiP panel that commended the Institute’s “skilled recruitment of people with the right skills and experience” and its “strong and visionary leadership from the top, perceptively supported by the board”.

The UK-based Institute for Clinical Research (ICR) has been awarded Investors in People (IiP) status by an IiP panel that commended the Institute’s “skilled recruitment of people with the right skills and experience” and its “strong and visionary leadership from the top, perceptively supported by the board”.

In “a very short time” these qualities have “turned the Institute around, creating a team well placed for high growth and high quality for members and the profession as a whole”, the panel added.

Developed in 1990 by a partnership of leading businesses and national organisations, the IiP Standard helps organisations to improve their performance and realise objectives through the management and development of their staff. Since launch, the Standard has been reviewed every three years to ensure that it remains relevant, accessible and attractive to all.

The IiP panel described the ICR, which last October was accepted as a licensed body of the UK’s Science Council, as a “highly aspirational and ambitious organisation”.
