Business & Decision, an international consulting and data engineering company based in Paris, France, has launched a North American eClinical Division, building on its existing presence in the European e-trials segment.
Headed up by Kathryn Hanson – described as “a 20-year life science veteran” – as director of eClinical services and solutions, the new addition to Business & Decision’s established Life Sciences North American practice will focus on providing pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies as well as contract research organisations (CROs) with a range of eClinical information technology (IT) services and solutions.
Initially, these will include business process consulting, implementation and technical services, application training, IT compliance and validation, application hosting, and managed services for the Life Sciences product suite of software company Oracle. Business & Decision belongs to the Oracle PartnerNetwork programme and will base its eClinical services around the Oracle Clinical, Remote Data Capture and Thesaurus Management System, and Siebel Clinical Trials Management System suite of applications.
In the European clinical sector, Business & Consulting’s existing capabilities range from clinical data management and clinical analytics to integration of CDISC (Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium) standards and CRO staffing services.
