US-based eClinical specialist Datatrak International has formed a strategic partnership with Inclinix, a contract research organisation with headquarters in Wilmington, US that provides customised solutions for patient enrolment in Phase I-IV clinical trials.

The new partners are claiming “the most comprehensive enrolment services available to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies globally”. They said the alliance offered “the first ever enrolment solution that delivers seamless integration and execution of services, reducing a sponsor’s need to outsource to multiple vendors for successful trial completion”.

Under the partnership, Inclinix will offer Datatrak’s eClinical software suite to its clients while bringing “a unique skill set” to the latter’s CRO Connect Program, the companies noted. CRO Connect allows contract research organisations to package their services around Datatrak’s eClinical platform through an Enterprise Transfer licence.

With Inclinix’s customers asking more and more for electronic data capture services, “this partnership has been in our corporate vision for some time”, commented Tobin Geatz, the CRO’s president and chief executive officer. Datatrak’s “focus on ease of use and integration is a great fit into the enrolment solutions already provided by Inclinix”, he added.

Founded in 1999, Inclinix was known as PharmaTech Solutions (PTS) until June 2006, when it changed its name following a merger with Realinterface Expert Systems (RESI) of Annapolis, Maryland, integrating PTS’ recruitment services and RESI’s patient screening technology platform – which included the clinical trial recruiting and management application InClinix.

The combined company’s service offering includes enrolment feasibility, investigator recruitment, site support, and patient recruitment, retention and monitoring through its enrolment clinical research associates.
