Digital GP provider LIVI has now launched in the UK through a new partnership with the NHS and a paid for on-demand service.

LIVI is Care Quality Commission registered service offering patients access to GP consultations, medical advice and prescriptions via a smartphone or tablet.

The service is now available to patients registered with GP practices in North West Surrey and North West England, although LIVI says it is working with the NHS to make the service available nationally.

“Our ambition is that, by using LIVI, we can work in partnership with the NHS to help improve access for patients whilst reducing pressure on local healthcare services and help deliver on Matt Hancock’s call for the UK to become the most advanced health system in the world,” said Luke Buhl-Nielsen, LIVI UK managing director.

“What makes our digital service different and so successful is that we take full responsibility for delivering outstanding care to patients as an integrated part of the healthcare system.
