Medical and Scientific Excellence Awards: There’s still time to enter!

The new PharmaTimes Medical and Scientific Excellence Awards, designed to recognise the outstanding achievements of medical and scientific professionals will close for entry on the 31st October.

This new competition will close for entry on 31st October – so enter or nominate a colleague now and take advantage of this great opportunity.

Medical Science Liaison of the Year has been expanded to include three levels of seniority and forms the backbone of the all new Medical and Scientific Excellence Awards, alongside categories for scientific advisors and medical information professionals.

This free-to-enter competition will give entrants the opportunity to compete against the very best in the industry, with judges on hand to offer their expertise and give invaluable feedback.

Join your peers and colleagues from a wide range of companies who have already submitted entrants to the competition including Novo Nordisk, GSK, Bayer, Boehringer Ingelheim, Teva, Lunbeck, Eisai, MSD and Shire.

Within the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) categories there are entry options for new, experienced, and senior MSLs. Victoria Roberts, Regional Business Manager at Baxter and a member of the competition’s executive steering group (ESG) comments: “I am delighted to lead the judging panel for the category of ‘New Medical Science Liaison of the Year.’ The role of the MSL is becoming ever more vital to allow industry to better partner with the NHS and HCPs by providing expert scientific knowledge.”

ESG member Paul Moreau, Project Director, IQVIA, is lead judge for the professional Medical/Scientific Advisor of the year and Lead Medical/Scientific advisor of the year categories. ESG member Jayne Packham, Managing Director for Jayne Packham Consulting, lead judge for the Medical Information categories says, “I’ll obviously be looking for excellent knowledge, skills and true passion for Medical Information”.

Entrants to the competition will also benefit from a unique training and development environment, working with industry experts to greater increase their existing knowledge and ability.

The assessment day will take place on the 6th December and will be followed by the awards ceremony in the evening.
