The Clinical Trial Company (TCTC), which describes itself as “one of the UK’s leading and fastest growing contract research organisations”, has opened a new office on the Cambourne Business Park near Cambridge.

TCTC’s headquarters are in Knutsford, Cheshire and it runs a North American office near Toronto Airport in Ontario, Canada. The new office reflects steady growth in demand for the company’s clinical trial services from biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies in the Cambridge area, TCTC said. The office is expected to grow rapidly as the company recruits staff to support the business.

The new location “fits in with our global growth strategy and allows us to provide talented clinical trial teams to clients while also giving easier access to investigator sites in the Midlands and Southern England, reducing travelling times and minimising pass-through costs”, commented Ewan Campbell, one of TCTC’s co-founders.

The company, which was set up in 2000 and provides full-service clinical studies as well as stand-alone clinical trial, regulatory and quality services to biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, plans to open offices in Hong Kong and Australia “in the near future”.
