NextPharma Technologies, the UK-based provider of product development, contract manufacturing and cold-chain services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, has added Clinical Trial Services to the capabilities of its US facility in San Diego, California.
The new addition mirrors the existing Clinical Trial Services capabilities at NextPharma’s facility in Göttingen, Germany, which include randomisation double-blinding, generation of emergency letters, packaging, kitting, labelling (Phase I-IV studies), cold-chain storage, distribution, return accountability and destruction of trial drugs.
NextPharma chief executive officer Bill Wedlake said the expansion of services in San Diego would “leverage our growing presence in pharmaceutical development and contract manufacturing in the United States”.
The company’s North American offering, which is based in San Diego, has a client base of small to large companies worldwide in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostic and medical device sectors.
