US-based biopharmaceutical services provider Parexel International has formed a public-private partnership with Salem State University in Massachusetts to offer a Post Graduate Certificate programme in Clinical Trial Management.

Parexel said it was committed to “developing the future biopharmaceutical workforce with courses specifically tailored to meet the growing talent needs of the clinical development job market”.

Part of that equation is the company’s own rapid growth in the United States and need to dip into a suitably qualified talent pool. Parexel also cited Salem State University’s “progressive outlook” in partnering with industry and its “impressive track record” in building career interest in science disciplines.

Parexel Academy

The company has a well-established history of developing close partnerships with regional universities through its Parexel Academy, it noted.

Parexel set up the first such academy in Berlin, Germany in 2001. Candidates can earn a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Research degree, validated and awarded by the University of Wales.
