US-based contract research organisation PRA International has consolidated its Early Development Services (EDS) and Product Registration teams in Warsaw, Poland into a new, larger office to accommodate the continuing growth of these operations.
According to Dr Ludger Langer, PRA’s vice president of clinical operations in Europe, Asia Pacific and Africa, having both the EDS group and Product Registration under one roof will create beneficial synergies, enhance both internal and external communications, and enable the teams to serve clients from one of Warsaw’s primary business districts.
Like PRA’s other EDS locations in Central and Eastern Europe, the Warsaw team uses a ‘unit-on-demand’ business model that brings Phase I trial centres to patients. Under this model, PRA establishes a Phase I environment in central medical facilities that specialise in treating target patient populations.
The Product Registration group provides project management, clinical operations and other services for Phase II-III trials.
