UK-based contract research organisation (CRO) Quanticate has set up a Candidate Management Unit (CMU) as part of its Quanticate People staff-recruitment offering.

The new unit will draw on Quanticate’s experience with biometrics and recruitment to offer clients a “highly-trained pan-European talent pool”, the CRO said. It is also identifying professionals in the US “ahead of an expected expansion of Quanticate’s recruitment services later this year”. Quanticate announced the launch of its US operations in June 2008.

Quanticate People now comprises two distinct segments: a customer relationship group that works closely with clients to identify specific talent to support their development programmes; and the CMU, which will identify and manage individuals meeting those requirements. The new unit will supply technical training where necessary for candidates filling roles such as clinical research associates, biometricians and project managers.

“The strength of our recruitment programme comes from the long-time association we’ve had with our candidates and the training we can provide to make sure that they are completely current with the technologies and qualifications they need to provide the best job possible,” commented Tom Griffith, manager of Quanticate’s recruitment business.

“We’ve been able to track many of them throughout their careers, which gives us a great advantage in being able to place the person who is most qualified and suitable for the task at hand. The CMU allows us to dedicate expertise to fully leverage these benefits.”

Formed in December 2007 through the combination of two existing CROs, Statwood and Oxford Pharmaceutical Sciences, Quanticate provides clinical trial services, consultancy, on- and off-site data management, statistical programming and analysis, and medical writing solutions in addition to its recruitment functions.
