Satellite bags contract for two HIV studies

Satellite, a UK-based specialist in clinical trials outsourcing, has been contracted to provide Statistical and Programming (S&P) services for two new studies addressing HIV infection.

Satellite, a UK-based specialist in clinical trials outsourcing, has been contracted to provide Statistical and Programming (S&P) services for two new studies addressing HIV infection.

The company won the £320,000 contract with an unnamed client in a competitive tender. Seve
n members of Satellite’s 50-strong Stats and Programming team at its offices in Ruislip, UK will provide the relevant services.

According to operations director Josie Measures, Satellite now has “one of the strongest groups of specialist statisticians and SAS programmers” in the UK. With offices in the UK and the US, the company offers services in the fields of clinical monitoring, data management, statistics and programming, case report form design, medical writing, regulatory affairs, archiving and records management. Existing clients include Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline.
