The cream of the clinical research world across the Atlantic is to gather in North Carolina at the end of this month to see who will be crowned winners of this year’s PharmaTimes Clinical Researcher of the Year – The Americas.

More than 40 top researchers from the world’s leading CROs including Chiltern, Covance, INC Research, Parexel, PPD, PRA Health Sciences and Quintiles, will compete across five categories – clinical research co-ordinator, new clinical research associate, experienced CRA, project manager and company team – for the prestigious awards.

The multi-stage competition is organised by an independent executive steering committee drawn from senior industry leaders from big and small pharma, leading CROs and professional membership associations including ACRP and DIA. Finalists will compete during a one-day challenge on 26 February at the global headquarters of competition partners SAS, with the winners being unveiled awards ceremony later that day at the Umstead Hotel on the SAS campus.

Susan Romberg, vice president of global clinical development at Chiltern, who has five colleagues up for awards, said that “our nominees have put forth a tremendous effort to earn a chance to compete in the finals and they deserve recognition as some of brightest performers in our industry.
