The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) has appointed James Christie to the newly created position of Project Director with responsibility for manufacturing.James’s primary focus will be to spearhead the implementation of the work streams under the Medicines Manufacturing Industry Partnership (MMIP) as approved recently by the Ministerial Industry Strategy Group.The MMIP was jointly established by the ABPI and the BioIndustry Association (BIA) to create an attractive and innovation-rich environment in medicines manufacturing in September this year.Prior to joining the ABPI James worked for Oxford BioMedica, as head of manufacturing and supply chain for over three years.
