Moore is the latest recruit to the growing practice headed by Kate Hawker, to whom she will report.
Moore currently leads the media work for both the Public Health Minister and the chief medical officer and is responsible for all proactive and reactive communication strategies on issues including immunisation, genetics, obesity and alcohol.
In previous roles in the Department, Moore has led on significant issues including the swine flu pandemic, research and development, and cancer care reform.
She joined the DH from the Home Office where her work included devising media strategies on a new mental health bill, the first child sex offender strategy and using DNA technology to bring cold case rape offenders to justice.
