GCI Health has announced the hiring of two senior experts in global public health and corporate communications – senior vice president Trey Watkins and executive vice president Margaret Shubny.

After a year of significant growth in 2018, including the expansion of GCI Health’s media, digital and integrated marketing teams, the new hires were made to support the agency’s continued commitment to making a difference in all aspects of the healthcare industry.

As senior vice president Trey will counsel some of the world’s most influential partners in their efforts to strengthen health systems, increase access to medicines and services, and provide sustainable solutions to global health challenges. He brings a strong understanding of the global health governance and policy landscape, with extensive experience in strategic communications, advocacy and multi- stakeholder partnerships across the United Nations system and nongovernmental organisation space.

Margaret will help to grow the agency’s corporate communications offering, as GCI Health is increasingly called upon to help clients navigate the complex and rapidly evolving healthcare business environment. She will be responsible for providing strategic insights, counsel and services for corporate communications to advance reputational value and market leadership, with an emphasis on issues related to access, value and pricing.
