Karen Baxter has been appointed as the new managing director of Pharmaceutical Press, starting with immediate effect after an eight-month period as Interim MD.
She has previously led on a number of important projects, focusing on customer needs to deliver content in new ways, and brings a rich combination of skills to the role. She will also be the first pharmacist to lead the entire publishing function.
RPS chief executive Paul Bennett said: "We’re very pleased that Karen has accepted this key role at a time of great challenge for our profession and for the publishing industry. I’m confident that under Karen’s leadership, PhP will continue to lead the way in medicines information and help RPS achieve our vision of becoming the world leader in the safe and effective use of medicines. Karen will now take up a permanent position on the RPS Executive team and report directly to me, further strengthening our endeavour to integrate.
