Manchester Academic Health Science Centre has named David Shackley as the Clinical Lead for its Cancer Domain, as part of ambitious plans to improve overall five-year cancer survival rates in Manchester. David holds two other key posts: he is a urological surgeon (at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust) and also the Medical Director of Manchester Cancer which brings together the cancer clinical community under an accountable structure within Greater Manchester. David takes over the Clinical Lead role from Dr Anthony Blower.
