Marc O’Brien appointed chief technical officer at Medica

Medica has announced that Marc O’Brien has been appointed to the newly created role of chief technical officer of the Group.

Marc brings a wealth of expertise and familiarity with the sector to Medica, having most recently served as chief information officer at InHealth, where he developed and delivered their digital and technical strategy. Prior to his time at InHealth, he worked for Viapath and was a member of the team that founded Spire Healthcare.

As CTO, Marc will be responsible for developing and directing the technology strategy for the business, ensuring that Medica remains informed about developments at the forefront of technology and focuses on the most effective and innovative ways to deliver its services.

Commenting on his appointment, he said: “I am excited to be part of Medica where my priority will be to facilitate clinically safe growth of the organisation through the delivery of a technology strategy. This will enable the Group to improve on its already excellent service delivery whilst ensuring the service is underpinned by the most clinically safe, innovative and secure technology.”
