Takeda UK and Ireland announces new managing director

Jon Neal will be taking up the role of managing director, UK and Ireland, at Takeda. Jon was previously the Oncology Business Unit director, sitting on the UK Senior Leadership Team. He succeeds Adam Zaeske, who has moved to a new position as Takeda’s regional lead for gastroenterology across Europe and Canada.

Jon brings to the role over nine years’ experience at Takeda UK, and has been at the forefront of some of the company’s biggest product launches in the UK and Ireland. Prior to leading the Oncology Team, he was business unit director for Specialist Medicine, with responsibility for launch preparations in the IBD franchise.

Jon will be succeeded as UK Oncology Business Unit director by Emma Roffe who previously led the Oncology Medical Affairs team. Emma has been with Takeda for fifteen years, playing a pivotal role in establishing a highly capable and trusted medical team in haematology, with a strong commitment to delivering for patients. During her time at Takeda, Emma has worked on a number of medicines across the portfolio and has extensive experience of collaborating closely with commercial, market access and medical colleagues both within the UK and across the wider global organisation..
