Virgo Health has expanded its Health Education division with the appointment of medical doctor, Dr Ajay Aggarwal. At Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, Ajay worked in a number of specialties including acute medicine, gastroenterology and colorectal surgery. He also spent some time in dermatology and general practice and his broad experience provides valuable insights to our Health Education division. He holds a first class degree in cardiovascular science and graduated from his medical school with honours.
Throughout Ajay’s student and clinical career, he has been trying to identify more efficient ways to enhance patient care through empowering doctors. He developed a virtual clinic for patients with skin diseases, to improve monitoring and follow up in a cost-effective way. Recognising the need for doctors to lead the changes for improving care, he also chaired the Member Recruitment and Student Engagement Workstream at the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management.
