PharmaTimes -
January/February 2017

When thinking about the future of pharma these days, we often find ourselves looking not at the big-name companies, but at the smaller firms at the cutting-edge of the industry. (It's not just by chance that the industry has been dominated by M&A for the last couple of years.)

With this in mind, we're excited to partner with Catalyst Corporate Finance to bring you a detailed analysis of the 50 fastest-growing pharma companies in the UK (The Pharma Fast 50, p21). This is the report's inaugural year, but look for it to be a regular feature in PharmaTimes as we assess how the industry changes year-on-year.

Elsewhere, customer communication is a key topic this issue. In Through thick and thin (p32) we hear from the companies who have embraced the idea of putting customer experience at the heart of their strategies, and we have a Q&A with two multichannel experts to get some tips on how to succeed in this area (Multichannel mastery, p36). We also have two articles exploring how pharma can engage with the NHS' Sustainability and Transformation Plans (NHS: The game plan, p15; New models of care, p30).
