The categories in the Medical & Scientific Excellence Awards have been expertly designed to accurately reflect the current medical affairs environment.

This competition has created a platform where medical affairs professionals can share best practice, develop key skills, network, and ultimately compete to claim the rank as being amongst the most talented within the industry.

There are a broad range of categories available for all types of medical professional and of all experience levels. They are the New & Experienced Medical Science Liaison of the Year, New & Experienced Medical/Scientific Advisor of the Year, and finally Medical Information Professional and Medical Information Lead of the Year.

What does the competition entail?

Once entered into a category, candidates will be invited to take part in the live head-to-head finals day where they shall compete in a variety of challenges. These vary between each category but will follow either a mix of presentations, exercises, or an interview.

There will also be on-the-day training sessions with key industry leaders to supply their expert knowledge; this accompanied with the feedback based on entrants’ individual performance from the panel of judges offers a truly rare and unique opportunity for reflection. This years’ finals day will be taking place on the 5th December at the IQVIA offices based in Reading.

Entering into the 2019 competition is easy and just requires filling out a simple entry form, nominations can also be made if you think a colleague has the skills to take home a coveted pharma trophy – show them by nominating them for a category!
