ACM Global Central Laboratory, the US-headquartered laboratory testing operation that raised its European profile in March 2009 by acquiring Pivotal Laboratories, a long-term partner based in York, UK, has shifted its European laboratory hub to a much larger facility in York’s Hospital Fields Road.

According to ACM, the company had outgrown its previous facility in Aviator Court, York, which it had occupied since 1999.

With 14,500 sq ft of laboratory and office space, the new purpose-built hub is nearly twice the size, accommodating increasing client demand for ACM’s clinical-trial testing services throughout Europe and in South Africa and the Middle East, as well as a growing staff of data analysts, project managers and quality assurance specialists, it noted.

“Expansion of our European laboratory hub represents a significant investment by our company, driven by our growth over the last several years”, commented Angela Panzarella, president of parent company ACM Medical Laboratory.

“We have enjoyed robust growth in our European and global business, and the new facility represents our commitment to the region and to continuous improvement of the services we offer our clients,” she added.
