CROMSOURCE, the contract research organisation (CRO) formed from the acquisition of Belgium’s MSOURCE by Italian company CROM in April 2011, has consolidated its presence in Poland with a new office building in Warsaw.
When CROM took over MSOURCE, the latter CRO had been internationally active since 1994, covering the European market through affiliates in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Poland.
According to Dr Oriana Zerbini, chief executive officer of CROMSOURCE, the merged operation now has a “very large team in Poland, which is a key country for delivery of our clinical projects”.
The long-term aim is to “continually develop our presence” in Poland, Zerbini noted.
New premises
As part of that strategy, CROMSOURCE decided in 2011 not to lease new premises in Poland but to invest in the construction of an office building in Warsaw to accommodate the growing local team.
The new office is located in the Zoliborz district of Warsaw, 2.5 miles from the city centre and just 7.5 miles from Chopin airport. More than 10,750 sq ft of office space includes a secure basement for archiving and storage.
The Warsaw building will house functions including Clinical Operations, StaffingSolutions, Human Resources, Recruitment & Selection, Accounting and Finance.
It is also the site of CROMSOURCE’s Financial Service Centre Unit, which manages all invoicing, accounting and project administration activities for Group entities in line with standardised procedures developed over a number of years.
“Our unique expertise in Poland and other Central and Eastern European countries provides our sponsors with the opportunity to complete their projects in a high-quality, cost-competitive and high-enrolling environment,” Zerbini commented.
