US-based eClinical solutions specialist Datatrak International is raising its profile in Latin America by teaming up with local contract research organisation (CRO) STAT Research.

Under the arrangement, STAT Research will leverage its partner’s Datatrak One clinical-research platform to reduce trial costs and accelerate drug development timelines in Latin American markets.

A rebranded version of the Datatrak eClinical suite, Datatrak One is a unified clinical-enterprise solution that supports Phase I–IV drug and device studies in multiple languages worldwide.

According to chief executive officer Dr Conrado Estol, STAT Research’s partnership with Datatrak will “add the necessary tools to achieve much more effective and efficient results in an increasingly complex and time-sensitive research environment”.

Operating out of Buenos Aires, Argentina since the early 2000s, STAT Research is a medically driven CRO focused on neurology, psychiatry and vascular diseases, including diabetes and coronary heart failure.

STAT maintains strategic alliances with companies in Peru (Peruvian Clinical Research), Germany (Verum) and Israel (Q-Trials).
