The highly anticipated Medical & Scientific Excellence Awards close for entry in just a few weeks (31 October). This is your chance to stand out against the competition, enter now to get the recognition you deserve.

The MSL categories have been expanded to include three levels of seniority and we now also have categories for Medical Information and Medical Affairs professionals.

Medical Information Professional of the Year is open to individuals providing technical and medical information to customers or internal departments, with any level of experience, while Medical Information Leader of the Year is for individuals who are responsible for leading a Medical Information service, typically involved in setting strategy, vision, developing innovative services, managing governance and risk, raising the service profile and liaising with stakeholders.

In the medical/scientific advisory categories,Professional Medical / Scientific Advisor of the Year is open to individuals who have made a significant contribution towards the evaluation, critiquing and communication of important medical/scientific information related to a company’s products, while Lead Medical / Scientific Advisor of the Year is aimed at individuals who have done all of the above, but from a position of leadership, having brought together a group of colleagues in working towards a common purpose.

Commenting on the addition of the medical information categories, steering group member Marion Grapes, principal global medical information specialist at LEO Pharma says: “I am thrilled to have been asked to be a judge for the Medical Information categories. This is not only a great opportunity for entrants to showcase their skills and competencies within the area of medical information but also provides a tangible personal training and development opportunity. We are looking forward to a very busy (and fun!) day packed with sharing best practice.

Executive steering group member Paul Moreau, project director, field medical affairs, IQVIA, is lead judge for Professional Medical/ Scientific Advisor of the Year and Lead Medical / Scientific Advisor of the Year categories.

The assessment day will take place on Thursday 6 Decemberand will be followed by the awards ceremony in the evening.
