ExecuPharm, a US-based company focused on staffing and functional service provision (FSP) for the clinical research industry, has extended its reach into Europe and Latin America.

The new locations in Chichester, UK and Buenos Aires, Argentina will enable ExecuPharm to meet increasing client demand on a global scale, the company said, adding that the sites will “serve as regional headquarters to manage a network of localised professionals”.

In line with this expansion, ExecuPharm has appointed Anthony Southers as general manager of global operations.

Southers brings to the company 27 years of global clinical research experience, including “pivotal” roles in the creation of Innovex (now Quintiles Innovex) and the ICON staffing company DOCS, ExecuPharm noted.

According to chief executive officer Maria Larson, ExecuPharm’s experience and success in the US encouraged the company to leverage its “tried and tested model” into other markets.
