The UK-based Institute of Clinical Research (ICR) has launched what it says is a first-of-its kind mobile app for the clinical research community.

The free smartphone app is available for both iPhones and Android users. It can be downloaded from the ICR website at www.icr-global.org/community/icr-app and has been approved for inclusion among the range of applications available from the iTunes app store.

The ICR mobile app gives users up-to-date access to global clinical research news; podcasts of interviews, editorials and discussions on key clinical research topics; abstracts of articles published in the Institute’s in-house magazine, CRfocus; job vacancies from the www.CRjobs.org website; and ICR’s calendar of events, such as training courses, conferences and symposia.

“We’re very excited to be the first organisation to launch an app of this kind for the clinical research community, and look forward to hearing your feedback,” the ICR told its members.
