The first round of nominations for the 2014 PharmaTimes Sales Awards has come in, with a record 1,683 votes from healthcare professionals.
The poll conducted by Binley’s of almost 150,000 HCPs, primarily hospital doctors, specialist nurses and GPs, asked them to vote for the sales teams they believe go the extra mile in their relationship with the healthcare professional.
Thirty companies are represented among the nominations, with Eli Lilly having attracted the most nominations, followed by Pfizer and Janssen. Of the two healthcare sectors, GP representatives gained the most nominations, followed by sales professionals specialising in neurology, as well as endocrinology and diabetes.
As Chris Wilkinson, head of sales and marketing for prescription and OTC products, Benelux, Galderma, says: “We are constantly looking at ways to measure the level of professional effectiveness of our teams, the relevance of our marketing campaigns and the added value we offer our customers. The PharmaTimes competition is so current it gives us the opportunity to measure all three – not just against our own internal criteria, but also compared to our peers and competitors.”
PharmaTimes Sales Awards is the largest HCP-nominated and HCP-judged cross-industry benchmarking competition for sales professionals of its kind – with categories covering all functions, including sales reps, key account managers and first-line sales managers. This first round of nominations was collated by, and with thanks to, Binley’s.
