It must have been smiles all round at Nycomed last week after it picked up Sales Department of the Year at the PharmaTimes Regional Business Manager awards 2007 at a glittering awards ceremony held at London’s InterContinental Park Lane.

The PharmaTimes Regional Business Manager of the Year awards were set up to showcase the role of the first line sales manager, and offer an unbiased benchmark for excellence based on peer group recognition from the industry. The competition is segmented into four categories – Senior, Young, Aspiring and Team – representing key stages on the path to first-line sales management.

Nycomed’s team – Phil Kimber, Graeme Cooper, Karen Browne and Rachel Jefferey – took home the Sales Department of the Year crown after scoring the most points for placings in the finals. But congratulations also to Sally Hudson of Bristol Myers Squibb, winner of the Aspiring RBM category, Nycomed’s Karen Browne, Young RBM of the Year 2007, and Andy Smith of sanofi aventis, who claimed the Pharma award in the Senior RBM category.
