Health communications and market access group OPEN Health has merged with medical communications firm Peloton Advantage in a move designed to broaden the range of services available to clients.

The combined entity, which operates in seven locations across three continents housing around 520 employees, is working with 90% of the world’s top 40 pharmaceutical companies, the groups noted.

Explaining the strategy behind the merger, David Rowley, OPEN Health Group’s chief executive, said it “provides very strong strategic, geographic, therapeutic and management synergies”.

“As a combined entity we can provide a wider range of services to our current clients, as well as allowing for geographic expansion of core specialisms on both sides of the Atlantic and beyond”.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
