harmaNet Development Group, the US-based contract research organisation (CRO) that recently agreed to a merger with affiliates of private equity firm JLL Partners, has set up a human resourcing business for the clinical development sector.

The PharmaNet Resource Solutions unit offers extensive industry experience in both clinical operations and contract staffing management, the CRO said. According to Susan Seroskie, who heads up the new unit as vice-president, PharmaNet Resource Solutions, clients will have access to “practical, customised resource strategies to ensure their requirements are delivered on time and with the appropriate level of experience”.

Services will include on-demand staffing, strategic alliances, functional service staffing and quality control services. “Our solutions-based staffing business provides another entry point with large pharmaceutical clients by offering them a new alternative with PharmaNet quality built in,” commented Jeffrey McMullen, the CRO’s president and chief executive officer.

Seroskie has more than 14 years’ experience in clinical development and was previously senior vice-president, managed services at The Clinical Resource Network.
