This year’s event builds on the phenomenal success of the 2018 re-launch of this highly respected competition – recognising and rewarding the most talented sales professionals working within the healthcare industry.
The unique entry process, which sees representatives evaluated by their healthcare professional clients, offers a platform for recognition of their day-to-day efforts within their companies.
To enter into this competition, candidates must firstly receive full endorsement from their company. Once confirmed, stage 1 of the competition involves all entrants supplying details of five healthcare professionals who would be able to provide feedback to support their entry. Stage 2 will see our judges contact those HCP’s for feedback, which will then be converted into an initial evaluation score based on set criteria. Those judged to have the highest scores will progress to stage 3 - our rigorous live finals day.

During the live finals, candidates will undergo a written test and then compete head-to-head in a real life challenge against their peers. There are a number of categories suitable for all experience levels, ranging from Primary & Secondary Care Sales Professionals to Key Account Managers, and more experienced Sales Managers.

The Sales Awards steering group and judging panel comprises both senior industry leaders and key stakeholders. This esteemed committee of professionals provides a vital role in helping PharmaTimes to design the competition so that its content accurately reflects the latest business thinking and the environment in which healthcare sales professionals are working.
Paul Dickson, 2018 winner of the Secondary Care Sales Professional category found the competition to be extremely beneficial to his development, reflecting: “I found it to be an excellent opportunity to benchmark myself against not only my colleagues but also those from other companies and other sectors within pharma - the feedback given was really constructive and I’ve taken the learnings forward into my every day interactions with customers”.
