remier Research, the UK-based contract research organisation (CRO) that completed a management buyout last June, has expanded its medical device operations to include full coverage in the US.

The CRO’s dedicated medical device group has been offering clinical trial services in Europe since 1997 and is considered “an industry leader” in managing medical device trials and support services, Premier noted.

The US device operations will be overseen by Efraim Roe Kozorivitsky, Premier’s executive director, medical devices, who has relocated from Switzerland to the United States. The CRO has been establishing the infrastructure for device capabilities in the US market since July 2008, Kozorivitsky said.

“Our clients have requested expanded medical device services, and we are committed to responding to these needs,” commented Dr Troy McCall, chief operating officer of Premier Research Group. “Providing both US and EU medical devices services is a strategic focus for our company and this will strengthen our ability to respond to customer’s needs as well as offer a broader range of services for the global market.”
