“The ‘NHS Challenge’ is designed specifically for agencies that have strong experience in dealing with UK specific challenges,” says the executive steering group's Eric Hansen.

Mike Dixon, HCA CEO and member of the judging panel continues: "With no pre-work required, every year, PharmaTimes Media sets a new, fictional brief to challenge the finalist agency teams. On the finalists’ competition day, after your preparation time, your presentations are based solely on knowledge of your craft and your innovative thinking."

All finalists receive qualitative and quantitative judges’ feedback after the awards ceremony, including a competency score-sheet benchmarking their performance against their peers.

“The PharmaTimes Communications Team of the Year is an amazing and unique challenge for agencies. The chance to compete for the coveted award whilst also challenging your own capabilities and team working to gain valuable learnings for that next big pitch,”says Mike.

Previous participants agree, including last year's winner, WA Communications. Managing director Jenny Ousbey says: "We entered the competition because I was keen for the team to test its wits against competitors in front of an industry panel. It was a rare opportunity to get some useful feedback and to develop the team’s experience and expertise even further. Winning the award has helped to position us as a market leader and has attracted the attention of prospective clients to our unique integrated communications offer."
