Seven new companies have signed up for membership to the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, bpushing its total member base passed the 160 mark.

Seven new companies have signed up for membership to the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, bpushing its total member base passed the 160 mark.

Warrington, Cheshire-based Ineos Healthcare, which specialises in drug development in the renal and gastrointestinal tract therapy areas, has joined the Association as a research affiliate (groups with a technical interest in the industry).

The latest general affiliates (those which support the industry in general ways) are: Activity Benchmarking, of Ruislip, Middlesex, which undertakes benchmarking exercises for pharmaceutical companies in the market research area; Marlow, Buckinghamshire-based Excel Communications, a provider of training and development workshops to the pharmaceutical sector; Fforde Management, of Hove, Sussex, which offers recruitment and associated services to the industry; London group GFK HealthCare, which interacts with pharmaceutical, biotech and other healthcare companies in the field of market research studies; London-based PHARMA360º, a specialist in the delivery of pharmaceutical and healthcare meetings; and Red Monday, of Edinburgh, a developer of software to large organisations in the public and private sector.

“It is a pleasure to welcome such a professional and diverse range of new

members to the ABPI,” said Jeremy Way, Head of Membership Service at the Association. “I am sure all the new members will bring professionalism and expertise to the Association to help us to support the activities of the

industry in the UK.”
