The Chair of the 2019 PharmaTimes Sales Awards, David Garmon-Jones, shares his thoughts on what makes this competition such an exciting and worthwhile experience.

Outlining the key role that this competition plays within the industry, David stated that “This is an exciting opportunity for sales professionals to showcase their talent and for PharmaTimes to recognise industry best practice”.

The Sales Awards offers entrants the unique opportunity to compete head-to-head against their peers in a live finals day, while simultaneously being recognised for their skills by the healthcare sales community.

Speaking on the topic of the finals day, David said that “It’s a great learning experience for those that take part. Entrants will be challenged, very constructively of course, by senior industry colleagues”.

David then continued to say that “the finals day is one of my favourite days of the year. Entrants will get to meet colleagues from across the industry, fellow contestants and judges. A great networking & learning opportunity”.

David and the rest of the executive steering group have been working hard to ensure that the finals day offers a testing challenge for the entrants, whilst also creating a friendly learning environment where ideas can be shared and sales skills and performance can be developed.

All of the hard work on the finals day culminates at the high-profile awards ceremony where the winners of each category will be announced in front of the national healthcare marketing and sales community. David shared his thoughts on what it means to be a winner of this competition, saying that “There is glory in store for the winners at the awards ceremony in November. It must be a great feeling to be recognised, very publicly, as a winner!”
